Emergency Financial Aid
When funding is available a Veteran Discretionary Fund appropriated for emergency needs such as transportation, utilities, and personal needs to veterans in crisis that have already exhausted all other resources. This service is offered exclusively in Northern Nevada through VTRC North.
National Guard and Reserves
The two branches make up 42% of the Armed Forces. For most traditional guard or reserve that serve once a month as active duty, they ONLY receive an array of services and benefits when they are ACTIVE. When returning back into the community they are considered civilians and cannot access those benefits/services because of current inactive status. The Veterans Transition Resource Center provides those needed services to ensure they do not fall through the cracks.
