The hallmark of The Purple Heart is its programs that improve the lives of veterans, their families, and the communities in which we live. It’s not about WHO WE ARE, it’s about WHAT WE DO to make our cities, our states, and our Nation a better place to live and work.
–The Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Program exists to assist Veterans, ALL VETERANS, in working with the VA and filing claims for the many benefits that are available. You do NOT need to be a Member of the Purple Heart Organization to seek assistance. The program provides VA certified veteran’s benefits experts at various Veterans Administration regional offices, hospitals, vet centers, and state and county veterans’ facilities.
-Last Year the Veterans Affairs Volunteer Service Program(VAVS), which is run by The Purple Heart through local Representatives and Deputies at the Chapter and Department levels, donated 110,137 hours at 106 Veteran Affair Sites throughout this Nation.
