On Nov 9th, American Legion Post 8 hosted their 1st Veterans Job Fair at 733 N Veterans Memorial Dr. American Legion Post 8’s Adjutant, Tom Cook, planned this whole event and gave a welcome speech. It lasted from 10am to 3pm. There were various businesses vendors at the event. The purpose of the event was to promote the local vendors to hire veterans and provide them with new job opportunities. Amongst the vendors were Colonial Life, Homecare by M&D LLC, Fifth Avenue Restaurant Group, Alarmco, Tuscany Suites & Casino, The Cosmopolitan, and Quality Care = Quality of Life.
