Everyone got their money’s worth of BBQ for lunch at the Rum Runner’s 6th annual event, “PIG OUT” for the Veterans Transition Resource Center (VTRC) on Saturday April 13th. $10 for an all you can eat Chef JB’s BBQ with raffles, a live auction for prizes, a Live talk show Veterans Talk Radio “The Forgotten Promise” and lots of live entertainment such as On The Corner, Tommy Rocker, Shovel Too, Xsysts and T-Fox. Chef JB has been working with the VTRC with their food and beverages’ events since cooking an 220-pound pig for the first “PIG OUT”. All the proceeds from the event went to VTRC to help local veterans.
The annual “PIG OUT” is one of three events Rum Runner hosts for the VTRC throughout the year. Jim Hill, the owner of Rum Runner says he supports veterans events and does these events because, “If it wasn’t for the veterans we wouldn’t be here” he also has a son who is a veteran.
